SmolShorts is an international festival of student videoworks. It is held annually by the Faculty of Free Arts and Sciences of Saint Petersburg State University within the framework of the International Smolny Student Conference.

Students of the first (not graduating) creative higher education courses are invited to participate in the festival and work in three genres is considered: «Experimental video», «Experimental documentary film» and «Experimental animation». The festival was created for students to receive comments and appreciation of their first films.
